Private Security Agent
BSP CERTIFIED LICENSE
The objective of this programme is to prepare the participant to enter the world of private security and effectively protect people, property and information. It offers an overview of important changes having occurred over recent years in both the public and private security domains. The course content presents a realistic view of the evolution of an industry containing an increased variety of tasks and responsibilities, requiring the involvement of better trained and more informed professionals.
Successful completeion of this programme will allow you to apply for your Private Security Guard license with the Private Security Bureau (PSB) / Bureau de la Sécurité Privée (BSP)Executive Protection
The tactics, techniques, and procedures taught in this course are based upon proven Canadian Armed Forces methods. The fundamentals rarely change for the modern security professional; whether working armed or unarmed, in permissive, semi-permissive, or hostile environments. The skillful and proper application of protection fundamentals is what truly distinguishes the novice from the expert.
This course focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully operate as an unarmed protector in a permissive environment.
This training has been deemed eligible for the Veterans Affairs Education and Training Benefit and CAF Educational Reimbursement (Skills Completion Program.)

BASIC COURSE
Purpose: Mentor and develop leaders by focusing on Army doctrine (ADRPs 1-02, 3-0, 3-90, and 5-0) and the foundations for tactical planning and execution. The course learning outcomes span ten subject areas: Unified Land Operations, Operational Graphics, Terrain Model, Offensive Operations, Defensive Operations, Combat Orders, Small Unit Tactics, Movement Techniques, Troop Leading Procedures, and Indirect Fire Planning.
Course Outcomes:
Apply a basic understanding of current combined arms maneuver doctrine to small-unit tactical operations.
Apply the eight steps of Troop Leading Procedures.
Conduct a mission analysis using METT-TC.
Develop a small-unit level operations course of action using the correct operations planning process.
Brief a small-unit level operations course of action using the correct operational terms and graphics.
Understand the role of doctrine in the application of the art and science of tactics.
